The Explore Your Voice Show was first aired in 2005 and has been downloaded over a quarter of a million times. Hosted by Michael Oliphant, Kate Slaney and Roger McLachlan it is a half hour chat show by working musicians about the making of music. It has an overall emphasis on singing but does encompass all the elements that are involved in the writing, recording and performing of music generally. It differs from other shows in that it talks ‘from the inside’. The real business of making music, how to achieve professional results, how to get the most out of your abilities.

Initially the show was developed as a promotional medium for Explore Your Voice singing lessons. We created this singing lesson product in early 2002 and it has become one of the most successful programs of its kind in the world. In 3 volumes, it’s now available directly through iTunes

Now we are back with a new and expanded show. There are 38 episodes from the first season that cover a wide range of topics about pitch, vocal agility, recording, learning songs,playing live etc. The list is huge. Please delve into those back season episodes and download as many as you wish.

The new season will have a wider brief than the first season. We will talk in much greater depth about songwriting and recording, playing live and stagecraft. Also we will discuss how to take advantage of the many free promotional tools and earning potentials available on the web  including music licensing, making videos, management, festivals and much more.

Lastly, each episode will feature one or two bands who will have a chance to submit material to us. We will talk about them both technically and artistically and hopefully help promote them in our own way. We will let you know when we have this part of the show ready to go.
